Preliminary Exercise - My Camerawork: Camera Composition
Finally, the last section for this project was Camera Composition. Camera Composition is defined as how you place your subject in a frame. The 2 examples I'll be giving in this blog post are Asymmetry Shot and Point Shot.
Asymmetry Shot is when the subject is off center of the frame. In our picture, my partner stood next to a high palm tree while looking up at it. This is a demonstration of asymmetry because my partner and the tree and her are in the center of the frame and my partner is obviously smaller. Her looking up at it emphasizes how unsymmetrical this shot is.
Last but not least, we have Point Shot. A point shot draws attention to a certain area. As seen in the shot, I sat in the middle of a dark hallway on school campus. This shot is meant bring attention to the fact that I'm sitting in the middle of a mysterious looking hall.
