Introduction to Camerawork Warm-Up Exercise 1

To begin with, camera work is described as the way or style of a film. 3 reasons I’d say it is significant to filming a movie is because it can be what makes or break the quality of a movie.  As for cinematography, that is defined as “the art of motion” for film. The director is typically responsible for this task. Two examples of award-winning people in this area are Leon Shamroy & Joseph Ruttenburg.

 Two key concepts I was introduced to in this area was shot sizes & camera angles. Shot sizes is how much of the setting or subject is displayed within the frame of film. Camera angles, however, are defined as the mark of specific location at which the movie camera or video camera is placed to take a shot.
