Intro to Lighting
Lighting in film is defined as the direction, quality, source, or color of lighting in a film. Lighting is important to film because it has a huge impact on the quality of the film. Moreover, in a way, lighting tells the audience where to look. The elements of lighting work together to guide our attention to the atmosphere being portrayed in the film.
In Activity 3, my teammate and I were assigned to focus on what kind of lighting was dominant in our selected movie. Again, our movie's genre was Sci-Fi Thriller so the lighting of the movie was pretty dark. Eerie would be the perfect way to describe it.
